Former No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani caused quite a stir on social media after appearing on a US talk show this week. Stefani, who turns 53 next month, sat down for an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers to discuss her current role as a coach and judge on The Voice - But instead of concentrating on what she had to tell, the viewers wanted to talk about her "unrecognizable" appearance

Although Stephanie came to the show with the long blonde hair associated with her and an impressive dress made up of fishnets, the sight of her face even had some old fans questioning whether it was really her.
Excerpts from the interview uploaded to the program's YouTube account were flooded with hundreds of comments expressing surprise at Stephanie's new look.
"I'm old enough to remember her with pink hair and braces. Can't believe how different she looks now," wrote another surfer, referring to one of her No Doubt looks from the late 90s.
"I've been a lifelong fan of Gwen and I didn't recognize her. I'm so confused," wrote another and another surfer concluded: "I would never have known it was Gwen Stefani without the name on the screen!".

This isn't the first time that Stefani's appearance has been the subject of rumors about surgeries and treatments she's undergone, but the star has never spoken publicly about undergoing any cosmetic procedures.
In a 2016 appearance on Carpool Karaoke, host James Corden asked her exactly how she seemed to age in reverse—and she attributed it to her relationship with husband Blake Shelton.
"I kind of started to fall in love. Then I wrote a whole album about it. It's a 'face' lift, I think!"
she said.
And what about music?
Fans who want to hear new material from the star, who hasn't released an album in five years, will be disappointed by her confession in a recent interview, where she revealed that she wrote about 30 songs for a new album during the corona lockdowns, but since she didn't feel particularly passionate about any of them, she decided instead to focus her energies in her marriage.
"I put it on the backburner, but I also feel like sometimes I don't have much to say or I don't know if I have — so, I'll just wait and pray about it," she told Forbes.
