Technology against the climate crisis: the developments that will fight the global problem Israel today

The JVP Foundation connects investors with startups that will deal with air pollution and waste • They launched the international climatetech center in New York: "If we don't create solutions - we will lose the battle" • Founder Margalit: "We will influence the whole world"

Technology has changed our lives from end to end, boosted the economy, raised the standard of living and turned the world into a global village.

On the other hand, the technological revolution, mass production and endless abundance cause air pollution, a huge waste of resources and the production of a lot of waste.

JVP, the venture capital fund of entrepreneur and investor Aral Margalit, is trying to change all of these.

In the heart of Manhattan, New York, the international ClimateTech Center of the venture capital fund JVP was launched yesterday together with MINI from BMW, the City of New York and others.

Its purpose is to take advanced technologies that until now have been reserved for cyber or fintech (financial) companies, and find solutions to deal with the global climate crisis.

Among the companies there are those that deal in the field of green roofs and green cooling systems with minimal energy consumption and more.

Yesterday, companies in the field of climate technology (climate technology) met there together with entrepreneurs and investors.

All the participants have a desire to improve the world, but there is also a lot of money at stake.

The startups receive support, guidance and connections with investors who can propel them forward, and sell their product both to citizens and to countries and giant companies.

"The only way to deal with the climate crisis is to join forces with technologies from different fields, such as cyber and fintech, to create a new protective wall that will protect the planet and the future of our cities," said company founder and JVP chairman Aral Margalit.

He added that "if we don't develop new solutions that protect our basic resources - air, water and energy - we may lose the battle. This is why we are cooperating with MINI and with the City of New York and Columbia University and holding many other partnerships - to give a new business opportunity to companies. At the International ClimateTech Center we will create new ideas. This partnership starts in New York, but it will expand and affect the whole world."

It is no longer possible to say the name Arel Margalit without relating it to the foodtech field, and he is responsible for the establishment of the international foodtech center Margalit Startup City in the Galilee.

It has been a long time that, together with food and technology companies, they have been dealing with ways in which food substitutes can be found to meet the growing shortage due to the fear that certain populations or countries will suffer from hunger.

In recent years, the world's population has increased, but the areas where plant food can be grown are shrinking, and so are the prices of some of the raw materials from Amir.

One of the interesting projects is creating protein from chickpeas instead of soy or peas.

But the foodtech is not everything.

One of the topics that may be a tiebreaker comes from the world of digital currencies.

The "Chain Reaction" company has developed a unique chip that reduces by 30% the electricity consumption for mining digital coins and improves mining performance.
