And yet, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the head of the World Health Organization was very optimistic this week, announcing that “
the world has never been in such a good position to end the pandemic

the number of weekly deaths has fallen to the lowest since March 2020.”
An improvement that also concerns France.
There are thus around thirty daily deaths, when there were around a hundred in mid-July.
In addition, hospital data are, for the moment, far from alarming with less than forty critical care admissions per day.
In the immediate future, it remains preferable to vaccinate people at risk
