Two young people meet on the train by chance.

They develop a conversation and it is clear to everyone that one side is already completely interested in the other.

The young woman gave her heart not long ago to someone and got back quite a lot, and suddenly she finds herself with a man who is interested in her from the first moment and doesn't bother to hide it.

When the train stops at one of the stations, they get off together to spend a spontaneous night in the city.

They gradually approach, groping for contact, exposing themselves to each other.

But even if they find real comfort in each other, this meeting is limited in time.

That, more or less, is the story of Before Sunrise, Richard Linklater's beloved 1995 romantic comedy.

This is also the plot synopsis of the movie "Room No. 6", which arrived at the end of the week in cinemas in Israel with an impressive festival resume that includes the second most important award at the Cannes Film Festival.

If Jesse and Celine Yiffi of the degree met against the background of the charming landscapes of classical Europe and connected through eloquent and charming deep conversations, here the story is much less glamorous and enviable.

The heroine will not meet the man of her dreams on this trip, she is stuck in a crowded and quite depressing train, and she comes from home already quite depressed.

And yet, this trip may turn out to be a positive and even restorative experience.

A restorative trip.

Laura (Sadi Harle) is a young Finnish woman who spent the last months in Moscow with a literature professor, who won her heart and brought her into her circle of intellectual friends.

The two were supposed to travel together to the far, frozen north to see petroglyphs - ancient cave paintings - but in the end Laura found herself embarking on the arduous journey alone, surrounded by people she mostly despised.

Instead of her beloved, Yuha (Yuri Borisov), a rude and uninhibited man who smokes, drinks, eats and talks nonsense non-stop, is waiting for her in the cell.

The differences between the roommates at first seem irreconcilable, but as time passes she also discovers the gentle and beautiful sides of him.

Yoha is a rough guy and at times really unbearable, but in his most losing and vulnerable moments it's hard not to want something good to happen to him already.

The approach is slow and not easy, of course when another passenger enters the picture it is much easier for Laura to connect with him - he speaks Finnish and plays the guitar!

Not exactly a romantic comedy.

There is something discouraging about festival films, certainly those that don't have a tight plot but a general idea like "two people are traveling by train and they don't get along and it's really cold".

And yet, it's worth giving a chance to the film by the Finnish director Joho Kosmanen - "Room No. 6" is a cute little story about friendship and a surprising attraction between two people who shouldn't have anything in common, yet manage to share a whole range of emotions with each other.

It's a rather airy travel story where something unexpected always happens, and it's interesting to see Laura deal with all the obstacles that fall on her.

It's far from a dream trip, but it has that dangerous-intriguing feeling that anything can happen, from a surprising encounter with a special type to moments of small crisis that completely change the perspective.

It's not exactly a romantic comedy or even a romantic movie, but a story about heartbreak, self-searching and wanting to feel loved - or at least deserve to feel that someone sees you.

And yet, the mutual love-hate-fear relationships take center stage here and they always leave the viewers a little on edge.

We don't necessarily want to see these two end the movie together, but we'd love to see her release some of the pressure and him get the positive attention he's so desperate for.

Worth giving a chance.

The film constantly moves between these two extremes - on the one hand danger, misery and fear, all of which only emphasize how lonely and heartbroken the woman we see is, and on the other hand human warmth and a genuine desire to connect and help each other, even when there really is no reason.

There is a lot of pain in this story, but as it progresses it is filled with hope and human love, one that ends with a smile.
