A 14-year-old schoolgirl was the victim of an attempted kidnapping on Friday in Vitry-sur-Orne, Moselle.
The teenager was returning to her home when she was approached by a man in a car, a few hundred meters from her home, under the eyes of several witnesses.
He then tried to encourage her to get into his vehicle.
With incredible composure, she then struggled violently to resist him: “He grabbed me and said to me:
Come with me
.
(…) I bit him, grabbed him by the throat and hit him, ”she testified to the Lorraine Republican.
The man quickly left the scene in the face of resistance from the teenager.
She then filed a complaint.
The mayor of the town praised the courage of the young girl.

The suspect was arrested by the gendarmes of Thionville on Sunday, specifies the Lorraine daily.
The 22-year-old man was brought before the Metz court at the end of his police custody and the prosecution should request his remand in custody pending his trial for "attempted kidnapping", he faces up to 30 years in prison.
According to the Lorraine Republican, he is known to the police and registered in the File of perpetrators of sexual or violent offenses (Fijais).
