The French site DxOmark, which is considered an authority in smartphone camera ratings, rated the iPhone 14 Pro in second place, with an impressive score of 146 points - next to Honor's Magic4 Ultimate which is in first place and won 147 points, and above the most advanced model from Huawei, The Huawei P50 Pro, which received 143 points.
"Although, at least on paper, the camera hardware of the iPhone 14 Pro may not look as impressive as that of some competitors, including Samsung's Galaxy S22 Ultra or Honor's Magic4 Ultimate, but it is worth saying that Apple engineers managed to squeeze out of it high image quality and performance Impressive", they wrote in DxOmark.
DxOMark's reviewers tried to accurately simulate our daily use of cameras, and for the sake of the test, more than 2,600 photos and about two and a half hours of video were taken in controlled laboratory environments - both in shooting mode under natural conditions, using the camera's default settings.
"A smartphone test lasts about a week and includes a team of engineers and technicians. Image quality, zoom and video are scored separately and then combined into a total score for comparing the cameras on different devices," emphasized DxOmark.
What happens next in the table?
In fourth place is Apple's flagship device from last year, the iPhone 13 Pro, with 141 points.
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra received 136 points and is ranked 8th, while Samsung's Galaxy S22 Ultra is ranked 10th with 135 points, followed closely by Google's Pixel 6 Pro with 135 points.
OPPO's flagship device, the Find X5 Pro (which recently came to us for review), ranks only 15th - with only 130 points.

As you may remember, after years of using only 12 megapixel cameras, Apple integrated a 48 megapixel main camera (in RAW format) and a 12 megapixel wide lens into the iPhone 14 Pro's photography system, along with better image and video stabilization than before.
