The launch period of 2022 is at its peak and the new flagship devices of the major companies are already in stores.

As in every launch period, and in fact since the dawn of smartphones, all companies compete for one of the most important features: the camera, and in recent years especially, the front camera (selfie).

Now, the DxOmark laboratory, the most recognized authority in the field of smartphone photography - has updated its ratings, distributed scores - and crowned the winners.

The laboratory tests are quite comprehensive and every flagship device receives peripheral performance tests that include, among other things, a test of the lens, the sensor, control of the camera (interface) and image processing.

At the top of the list is the iPhone 14 Pro, which takes the very respectable first place, with 145 points.

"A very good overall selfie experience, with accurate exposure, excellent level of detail and good skin tones as well as a very natural bokeh effect," the DxOmark test results read.

In second place - Huawei P50 Pro, which is praised with a score of 144 points, but still without Android.

In third place with 142 points is Google's Pixel 7 Pro, which was launched last week.

In 7th place is the Asus ZenFone 7 Pro.

And where is Samsung?

The Galaxy S20 Ultra model, launched in 2020, takes the 8th place with 137 points, while the company's current flagship device - the Galaxy S22 Ultra - is only placed in the 11th place - below the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra which is in 10th place.

More on the list: the iPhone 13 Pro is in 14th place, the 19th place is occupied by the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models are in 20th place.
