Now there's another player who wants to put one in their showroom - AIWAYS the young, small, electric manufacturer from China that currently only offers the U5 introduces (again) the U6 4-door coupe configuration for the U5.

Officially the U6 was already presented in May 2021 and its arrival in the markets was planned for the end of last year.

However, the manufacturer encountered production difficulties and other problems due to the financial crisis and the corona outbreaks, and these delayed the arrival of the model to the market.

The U6 shares the base with the U5 but offers a few things in addition to a different look.

While the wheelbase remains the same and stands at 280 cm, it adds 12.5 cm to a total length of 481 cm, the height is 164 cm and the width is 188 cm. With the added length and despite the flat tailgate, the cargo volume increases by 40 liters to 472 liters. Another exterior component that is different in the U6 is the transition of the loading opening from the front of the car to the front wing.

An interesting update mentioned by the manufacturer is an improvement in the capabilities of the advanced safety systems of automatic braking, lane keeping, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control and the vehicle warning in a "dead zone" - the functioning of these systems was the main criticism directed at the U5 in the European crash tests where it received 3 stars Safety only.
