Tesla stops on highway: "Nearly killed me" (with video)

With a full battery, a Tesla Model 3 went on strike on a California highway.
The driver describes her horror on YouTube – and complains about lousy service.
If you drive an electric car, you have to plan your tours more precisely than with a combustion engine.
Word has now gotten around, and most Stromer drivers stick to it.
Cases in which someone actually breaks down with an empty battery have become rare, as in conventional cars, the 12-volt starter battery is more likely to give out.
Dana Brems, a doctor from California, didn't actually do anything wrong either when she and her partner drove off in the relatively new Tesla Model 3.
According to her, the battery charged at home showed a level of 40 percent or 225 kilometers - more than enough for the planned route.

Nevertheless, the car then suddenly went on strike in a bend in the highway from Los Angeles to Santa Monica.

"My Tesla almost killed me," the lady later complained on her YouTube account.
The almost 14-minute video shows the incident, filmed by the on-board cam.

According to the Tesla customer, after the Tesla was finally loaded onto it, the story got really bizarre - thanks to the customer service of the Texas electric car pioneer.
Fifteen minutes later, he recommended using the app's chat to make an emergency call.
He later closed the ticket saying the owner could drop off the car at the San Francisco service center.

However, that had also closed.
The driver of the tow truck couldn't find a mailbox to drop the key of the Tesla parked in the yard either - so he hid it under a garbage can.

Tesla stays on the highway: the manufacturer does not want to pay for the tow truck

However, the American traffic safety authority NHTSA is already investigating several cases in which Tesla models allegedly suddenly stopped without the driver having to do anything.
