One of Israel's greatest musicians, Rami Klinstein, celebrated his 60th birthday yesterday.
On the occasion of the celebrations today (Friday) Kleinstein came to radio eco99fm for a two-hour festive broadcast that included conversations about the songs and life, special performances on the radio and some exciting surprises.
It seems that the most exciting surprise of all was when Meshi and Noam, Rami's daughters from his first wife Rita, unexpectedly entered the studio and sang in his honor "Forever Young" written to the words of Bob Dylan (and translated by Prime Minister Yair Lapid).

And here you can watch the performance of Rami Klinstein and Shiri Maimon for "On the Day of the Bomb"

Yesterday, Rami Klinstein appeared at the Culture Hall in Tel Aviv and hosted Shlomi Shaban, the "Mango" trio, Shiri Maimon and Rita.
Visitor and voila!
Tarbut Amit Salonim wrote, among other things: "Klinstein is the Israeli Billy Joel. Just like his Jewish counterpart from the Bronx, some eternal and sweet ballads managed to overshadow all the rest of his work. Billy Joel is the fourth most successful artist in US history, only Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and Garth Brooks sold more records than him.
And yet, although he wrote timeless rock anthems, he will forever be most associated with Uptown Girl and the catchy Just the Way You Are.
Ditto Kleinstein and the apples and dates and the small gifts. Huge hits that have become standards at birthday parties in kindergartens, which may make people forget the fact that this is a huge creator, whose place on the Mount Rushmore of Israeli music has long been reserved."
