The seventh generation of the 3 series, which is still considered the bread and butter car of the Bavarian manufacturer (until a crossover will take that title as well), recently received a mainly cosmetic facelift.
Now the importer Delek Motors is starting the marketing of the updated version in Israel.
The external differences are moderate, new bumpers, different lighting units and the addition of new colors to the offer.
In the passenger compartment, the main differences are the replacement of the joystick-looking gear selector with a switch that allows more storage compartments in the central console, air conditioning vents for the rear and front seats, a multimedia screen that has increased to 14.9 inches (previously 10.3 inches) and the digital dashboard also has new graphics schemes.

Mechanically, there are no changes in the engines and drive systems of the 3 Series. All versions use a 2.0-liter engine, with rear-wheel drive and an automatic transmission with 8 transmission ratios.
The differences are in different power levels, the most prominent of which is the 330 plug-in version.
The range starts at 318 with 156 hp, acceleration to 100 in 8.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 223 km/h.
Above it, the 320 plug-in 204 horses will accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and the maximum speed is 225 km/h.
The declared electric range provided by the 12 kWh battery is 60 km.
As mentioned, the most powerful version is the 330 plug-in version, it produces 292 hp, accelerates to 100 in 5.8 seconds and reaches 230 km/h.
Here the electric travel range is a little short and stands at 56 km.
All versions have an electronic limited slip rear differential and M Sport suspensions except for the 318 in the entry version which lacks the latter.

The Series 3 versions start with the 318 in the Business trim level, which surprisingly for a car with a price tag of NIS 290,000 (previously NIS 260,000) does not come with BMW's advanced parking system and without a reverse camera, but only with peripheral sensors.

Beyond these two trim levels, there are the 330 drive versions, in the M Design and M Sport trim levels.
The prices are NIS 325,000 and NIS 355,000 respectively.
In the M Sport trim level, you also get interior wood trim, an audio system with 10 speakers, keyless entry (drive only in others), heated seats and full leather upholstery.

With the increase in the prices of the 3 Series, along with the expensive prices of its two German partners, the present-absent Mercedes C Class in the local market and the Audi A4 that needs a refresh, it is mainly their reputation and seniority that continue to bring them customers, but this is also getting undermined.
