More Abarth than ever or, better, 'more Abarth than EVER' to underline the belonging to the emerging world of electric vehicles with the two letters 'ev'.

Unveiling the first Scorpion car at the Lingotto in which propulsion is provided by a battery rather than a suitably tuned petrol engine, Olivier Francois CEO of Fiat & Abarth and global chief marketing officer of Stellantis said "today we celebrate a milestone in the history of Abarth: we simultaneously present the first electric Abarth in Europe, based on the New 500e, and we launch the brand in Brazil, with the introduction of the New Abarth Pulse".

New Abarth 500e, emotions that become 100% electric

"The debut of the New Abarth 500e - underlined the CEO of Fiat & Abarth - is among the most exciting in the history of the brand, a great novelty for the Abarth range. I like to think it is a family, so our fan base will be involved in every step on our electrification journey."

The Abarth community was involved in the co-creation process of this model through the Performance Creator web project.

In return, the brand has dedicated an exclusive priority lane to all its members to book the launch edition.

The New Abarth 500e is the only 'small' one to offer the Sound Generator function, which reproduces the legendary roar of the Scorpion engines and mufflers.

The New Abarth 500e is equipped with a 42 kWh battery coupled to a powerful electric motor, for a total of 113.7 kW (155 HP) which combines the performance of the Scorpion with the innovation of electric mobility.

Indeed, it can reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 7 seconds.

It boasts class-leading acceleration and, at the same time, guarantees zero emissions.

The new 500e is the most reactive and exciting Abarth 500 ever in city driving, with better performance than the Abarth 695 in terms of responsiveness.

In fact, it's faster than 1 second in urban shooting, which means a

The new Abarth 500e is also faster outside of city driving, for example on hairpin bends, where from 40 to 60 km/h it can reach the desired speed in just 1.5 seconds - much faster than the petrol version, which lags behind by 15 metres, reaching 60 km/h one second later.

The 'Scorpionissima' edition is an exclusive, eye-catching and fully equipped launch version.

It will be delivered in 2024.

The more responsive electric motor, the longer wheelbase, the better road holding, thanks to the widening of the track, and the better balance between the axles offer great handling and driving dynamics, guaranteeing the new Abarth 500e quicker response, better entry, cornering speed and corner exit.

Three exclusive performance-focused driving modes are available - Turismo, Scorpion Street and Scorpion Track - offering customers total freedom to maximize the sporty set-up and unleash the power of their Abarth on the road and on the track.

Turismo mode allows smoother acceleration and lower power output (maximum power 100 kW instead of 113 kW, torque 220 Nm instead of 235 Nm) for an efficient yet exciting driving experience.

By engaging the Scorpion Street mode, the Abarth 500e offers maximum performance, maximizing regenerative braking.

Furthermore, in Turismo or Scorpion mode - thanks to the one pedal driving function - just one pedal is enough to obtain maximum performance.

The car decelerates each time you lift your foot and recovers kinetic energy, which is then converted into electricity to recharge the battery.

Finally, the Scorpion Track mode is designed for those looking for maximum performance.
