Launched successfully on November 17 after several unsuccessful attempts, the Orion capsule reached the moon a few days ago, and has since continued its journey, which should bring it back to Earth within a fortnight.
This new capsule should take astronauts to the Moon in the next few years - the first to set foot on its surface since the last Apollo mission in 1972. This first test flight, without a crew on board, should first be used to ensure that the vehicle is safe.
One of the great novelties offered by NASA is the possibility of following its journey in real time.
First there is the Artemis Real-time Orbit (AROW) site, a real-time tracker displaying its location in 3D, but also the time elapsed since the start of the mission, or the speed and distance of the spacecraft relative to the Earth and the Moon.
Mission Time: 9 days, 3 hrs, 55 min
Orion is 231,576 miles from Earth, 57,599 miles from the Moon, cruising at 2,458 miles per hour.

But it is also possible to follow the capsule in real time on video, on this special page, set up by IBM, and broadcasting the stream directly provided by an onboard camera.
