In 2022, car manufacturers will again be paying Christmas bonuses.
At Mercedes and Audi, certain key dates are decisive for the amount of the sum.
The automotive industry is in crisis.
Most recently, Audi board member Hildegard Wortmann made critical statements about the future of the automaker, as
echo24.de
reported.
With all the problems in the energy crisis, there will still be Christmas bonuses for employees at Audi and Mercedes in 2022.
After all, Mercedes celebrated high profits again.
No wonder that the works council is already demanding a hefty bonus.
In addition to the Christmas bonus, this could pay off well for the employees.
After all, according to the Metall Industrial Union (IG Metall), “employees in the metal and electrical industry receive up to 55 percent” of their average monthly wages.

A report by the Federal Statistical Office makes it clear that the gross Christmas bonus for all employees in Germany in 2022 will be an average of 2,747 euros.
That is 2.6 percent more than in 2021 (2,677 euros).
The statement by IG Metall also states that
"the amount of the Christmas bonus is often linked to the length of service - the full entitlement usually exists after 36 months

Christmas bonus at Audi: A deadline is particularly important for employees
As with Mercedes, the car manufacturer Audi also depends on length of service when it comes to Christmas bonuses.
When asked by

, the company explains that
“Audi employees who were employed on November 30 of a year and who joined Audi before June 1 of this year will receive a special bonus of 55 percent, as they do every year monthly earnings"
.
There is something more at Porsche.
According to a report in the Stuttgarter Zeitung, Audi's sister company based in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen "goes
one step further and has been increasing the 55 percent to a full 13th month's salary for many years"
