Buzz prevailed in the "German Car of the Year" election.
VW boss is happy about the success and announced more electric cars.

Buzz has only been on the market for a few weeks and is already proving to be a great success for the Wolfsburg-based company.
In the vote for the "German Car of the Year" (GCOTY), the electric car prevailed over the competition from the other classes.
It is already the fifth time that an electric car has been crowned the winner in the “German Car of the Year” election.
In 2019, the Jaguar I-Pace sat down.
In 2020, the Porsche Taycan prevailed, followed by the Honda-e (2021).
Last year it was the Hyundai Ioniq in 5th place. The Genesis GV60 took second place, followed by the new Land Rover Range Rover.

The “German Car of the Year” was determined from the five class winners.
In addition to the VW ID.
Buzz (New Energy) were the Opel Astra (Compact, up to 30,000 euros), the Genesis GV60 (Premium, up to 60,000 euros), the Land Rover Range Rover (Luxury, over 60,000 euros) and the Ferrari 296 (Performance).

A great team success for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Passenger Cars,” explained VW brand boss Thomas Schäfer at the award ceremony at the company headquarters in Wolfsburg.

“We already have over 20,000 orders for the ID.
Buzz, he's incredibly popular with people.
For us, this is great motivation to further accelerate our e-mobility offensive: we will be bringing ten more purely e-models onto the market by 2026,” adds Schäfer.

So the Golf could also have a future as an ID model.
