Gal Gadot posted a tweet the other day: "A few years ago they announced that I would play Wonder Woman. I am so grateful for the opportunity to play such an iconic and formidable character and most of all I am grateful to you, the audience. Can't wait to share the next episode." .
Well, it turns out that Gadot will have to wait a while until the next episode - and maybe it won't happen at all for her.
The American media is announcing today (Thursday morning Israel time) that the third episode of Wonder Woman's exploits, the production of which was supposed to start soon, is currently on hold.
The reason for this: "Wonder Woman" obviously belongs to DC studios, which has a hard time competing with the Marvel comics empire.
The success of the first episode in the series was the exception that does not prove the rule.
Most of the studio's contemporary films did not excel, including the second installment in the "Wonder Woman" series, for which reviews were lukewarm and its commercial achievements were only reasonable.

To change this, DC brought in new management: Peter Safran and James Gunn, who had great success at Marvel with the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movies.
The two, it turns out, started cleaning the stables.
They met with Patty Jenkins, who wrote and directed the first two episodes of "Wonder Woman" and was supposed to be behind the third as well, read her initial version of the new film and told her "thanks but no thanks".

According to Deadline, Jenkins may write a new version of the script and still be involved.
According to Indie Wire, an equally reliable site, Jenkins is not interested in being part of the change, and if she is out - then Gal Gadot is also out, and another actress will step into her shoes as Wonder Woman.
However, of course you don't need to worry about her.
She is involved in a number of no less talked about projects, including a film about Cleopatra in which she will also play a role, the pledge of the hit "Red Notice" and what not.
