YouTube has blocked the official page of Pornhub, the world's most popular porn website, following "violations of company policy" - Variety magazine reported.

Pornhub's YouTube channel was first launched in 2014, and included more than 900 thousand registered users.

Now, access to the page is blocked and the URL shows a 404 error

. According to YouTube, PornHub violated its policy against links to sites that host prohibited content on the platform: "After an investigation, we have closed the Pornhub Official channel following multiple violations of our community guidelines," said a spokesperson for the company.

"We enforce the terms of our policy equally for everyone, and channels that frequently violate them or engage in content that violates them - will be taken down."

On the other hand, MindGeek, MindGeek's parent company, "strongly denies" YouTube's claims that the site allowed a direct link to porn sites.

"Fornahub maintains safety measures on the Internet and addresses this frequently to ensure that they do not violate any of YouTube's regulations," a spokesperson for the company stated, adding: "Unfortunately, this is just the latest example of discrimination against those who work in the adult porn industry."

Last September, Furnahab's Instagram account was blocked.

The account, which had 13 million followers and 6,200 posts, did not publish pornographic content per se, but was mainly involved in the promotion of such content found on the site.

The allegations against the porn site in recent years claim that the site helped spread content that harms minors, which led to the resignation of the previous CEO. In 2020, the credit companies Visa and Mastercard stopped processing debit transactions to the site, due to "illegal content", along with lawsuits filed against Credit institutions on the subject.
