The British singer, rapper and DJ Maxi Jazz, lead singer of the dance group Faithless, passed away at the age of 65 - according to the group's announcement on social media today (Saturday).
"It is with a broken heart that we announce that Maxi Jazz died last night peacefully in his sleep," read the post, signed by band members Rollo and Sister Bliss.
"He was a man who changed our lives in so many ways. He gave a proper meaning and message to our music. He was also a lovely human being with time for everyone and a wisdom that was both deep and accessible. It was an honor and of course a real pleasure to work with him. He was a brilliant lyricist, quite -Jay, Buddhist, magnificent stage presence, car enthusiast, endless talker, beautiful man, moral compass and genius. Rest in peace our dear Max, 1957 - 2022, and thank you Faithless family for all the love you have shown us over the years. Please Take care of each other, you hear? As Max would always say."

The Beatles were founded in England in 1995 by Rollo (Roland Armstrong), Sister Bliss (Ayala Ben Tovim) and Maxi Jazz (Maxwell Frazier).
Their first album "Reverence" was released in 1996 and from it the huge hit "Insomnia".
"God is a DJ" and "We Come 1" also came later.
The band continued to operate on and off over the years, and "All Blessed", their last album to date, in which Maxi Jazz no longer participated, was released in 2020.
