An old cliché in the automotive world states that to drive fast on a public road the most important thing is to have a flashing blue lamp on the roof.
The Italian police proved it last week, and to a positive end.
The police Lamborghini Hurricane 610-4 LP was sent to urgently transport a pair of kidneys for transplantation in Modena and Rome.
The government supercar, the likes of which can only be found in police use in the Persian Gulf, is often called upon for such missions, when the emergency services come to the conclusion that it is available or will be faster than a helicopter.
That's why this Hurricane, which was delivered to the Italian police in 2017, was built from scratch, not only with a bridge of lights on the roof, but also with a refrigerated compartment in the trunk in the front for medical products that need a low temperature, such as blood transfusions or organs for transplantation.

The Hurricane LP 610-4, a version whose production was discontinued in 2019, got its name from the engine power, 610 hp and its dual drive. It has 5,200 cc, produced by a V10 engine.

0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 324 km/h.
The Italian police did not say this time at what speed the trip was made, but the car is often used in such missions.
In November 2020, the police announced that Lamborghini delivered a kidney in Padua that was donated in Rome.
The distance between the two cities is 500 km, and the fastest policeman in the world completed the delivery in two hours, so his average speed was 250 km/h.
