The company's charging pad can charge three devices wirelessly without playing guessing games. In 2017 Apple announced a similar product, and two years later it canceled it

The electric vehicle giant Tesla announced this weekend a product that Apple tried to produce and failed - a wireless charging surface that can charge three devices at the same time with a power of 15 watts each and will allow you to simply place the device, without a guessing game trying to find the exact location.

This, thanks to no less than 30 charging coils in the Qi standard, which were intelligently placed along and wide.

Tesla says that the design of the charger, which will cost you 300 dollars, was inspired by its electric van - Cybertruck.

"Its sleek design consists of an aluminum case, premium Alcantara covering (a type of fabric) and a removable magnetic stand that allows the charger to be placed flat or at an angle for better viewing," Tesla said, adding: "The charger also includes FreePower(R) technology, which claims the Qi-enabled devices, such as phones or headphones, when placed anywhere on the surface without precise alignment."

Remember, in September 2017, with the announcement of the iPhone X, Apple announced its wireless charger, AirPower, which promised similar technology - and two years later canceled it due to technical problems it encountered.

"After much effort, we have come to the conclusion that AirPower will not meet our high standards, so we have canceled the product," Apple said at the time.

However, Tesla's new charger doesn't fully resemble Apple's AirPower, as it can only charge iPhones and AirPods, but cannot charge the Apple Watch due to being limited to the Qi standard only.

In addition, there are other similar products on the market that provide a charging speed higher than 15 watts.
