An exhibition in memory of Danny Zakheim
A few months ago Esti Zakheim received a phone call from an unknown person who informed her that he had found an abandoned box in the street that contained a bunch of old letters she had written to her brother Danny - who was among the first performance art artists in Israel - when she was a young girl, old photographs and costumes from his shows.
His performances, costumes, photographs and letters will be shown in a special exhibition in memory of the artist, who passed away 28 years ago at the age of only 35 as a result of AIDS, which he hid.
