The US space agency Nasa has honored Brazil's deceased soccer star Pelé with a special photo.
The image of a spiral galaxy in the Sculptor constellation glows in the jersey colors of the Brazil national soccer team - blue, green and yellow.
"We commemorate the legendary Pelé, known to many as the king of the 'beautiful game'," NASA wrote on Twitter.
Three-time world champion Pelé died in São Paulo on Thursday at the age of 82.
Young hot stars
For the image, NASA combined images from the Carnegie Institution of Washington telescope with images from the Galaxy Evolution Explorer space telescope, which takes pictures in the ultraviolet range.
The composite image shows the progressive formation of stars.
The young, hot stars appear blue and dominate the galaxy's outer spiral arms.
The older stars appear yellow and green, clustering in the core region.
Gases heated by young stars or supernova explosions appear pink.
The galaxy, called NGC 300, is about seven million light-years from Earth.
Because of its shape, it is considered a spiral galaxy, like the Milky Way – which includes Earth.
