The 51-year-old American actor Jeremy Renner posted a picture of himself from the hospital bed after he was critically injured on Tuesday when he was run over by a snowplow that had deteriorated near his home.
Renner, who is best known for his role as Hawkeye in the "Avengers" movies and in the Marvel Universe, wrote: "It's hard for me to write but I send my love to everyone. Thank you very much for your kind words."
Shortly after he published the words, a press conference was held by the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, during which more information was revealed about Jeremy Renner's snow plow accident.
The accident happened last Sunday near the actor's home in Reno and caused him a severe chest injury and orthopedic injuries, according to his representatives.

"At this stage of the investigation we do not believe that Mr. Renner was irreversibly injured and we believe this to be a tragic accident," said Washoe County Sheriff Darrin Blum, providing initial details about the accident.
Renner used his Snow-Cat to free another vehicle driven by another family member, which got stuck in the snow near his home in Mount Rose, about 25 miles outside of Reno.
After he was able to free the car, according to the sheriff, the actor got out of the heavy vehicle to talk to the family member, and then the vehicle, which weighs close to 6.5 tons, began to deteriorate.
Renner tried to get back into the driver's seat but was run over by the machine.
"An eyewitness saw Mr. Renner get into it, and did not see him again until the snowcat came to a stop in a pile of snow in front of his driveway," the sheriff said.
"We do not suspect that this is a crime."
He added that the sno-cat is in the possession of the police and is being checked for mechanical failure and other problems.
Renner became famous in recent years mainly due to his role as Hawkeye in the "Avengers" films and in the Marvel Universe.
His character even won a series under his name on Disney Plus, and the actor also stars in the series "The Mayor of Kingstown" by Taylor Sheridan ("Yellowstone") on Paramount Plus, the second season of which is expected to start this month.
Renner was nominated twice for the Academy Award - for best actor in the film "The Load of Pain" and for best supporting actor in the film "Urban Thief".
He also starred in the films "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford", "Mission Impossible" 4 and 5 alongside Tom Cruise, and "Stolen Identity" from the world of Jason Bourne.
