Drinking a lot, no insight: Twice in the same night, a drunken VW driver was caught by the police.
A case for the police.
Drinking and driving is not a minor offence.
Drunk driving is the leading cause of accidents involving personal injury.
If you fall asleep at the wheel with too much alcohol in your blood, at least you don't endanger yourself or other road users.
It is not surprising that a majority of Germans are in favor of a zero alcohol limit.

On the other hand, some motorists who shouldn't let go of the bottle or the wheel are rather unreasonable.
Like the 51-year-old who had to blow at a traffic check in Neustrelitz (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) shortly after midnight.
Result: a breath alcohol level of 1.19 per mil.
The usual procedure followed: taking blood and confiscating the driver's license.
"Before he was released from the police measures, the subject was forbidden to continue driving a motor vehicle," says the police report, which was prepared later, and then: "About an hour later, the officers at the Neustrelitz police station were amazed."

Because on the nocturnal B 198, the same man came towards the patrol again with his VW Golf.
This time even with 1.37 per mille breath alcohol, as the rapid test on site after stopping showed.
