Babies found dead in a suitcase: “Psychologically, Tiphaine was not well at all”

In the building in Rumilly (Haute-Savoie) where the gendarmes discovered on January 1 the bodies of two newborn babies at the home of a mother.


She is the woman at the heart of this dramatic and still very mysterious story.

On January 1, this 35-year-old mother alerted the emergency services by contacting the 17. She then explained to the gendarmerie operator that there were the bodies of two babies at her home and that she had the intention to commit suicide.

The gendarmes immediately went to the site, the city of La Salle in Rumilly (Haute-Savoie), a town of 16,000 inhabitants near Annecy.

And it was by entering this apartment located on the 3rd floor of a small building in this HLM district that they understood that this young mother had not lied, as revealed by Le Dauphiné Libéré.
