Elon Musk's efforts to save money on Twitter are also noticeable in the processing of terminations.

As the US magazine "Gizmodo" reports, after weeks of waiting, the short message service sent offers of compensation to employees who were laid off in November.

However, according to the report, the company was so clumsy that Twitter had to send another email to confirm the authenticity of the offer.

Twitter had outsourced the processing of the terminations to an external service provider, with which the ex-employees were supposed to log in.

However, since some mail providers took the messages from this service provider for phishing attacks to steal access data, the e-mails sometimes ended up in the spam folder, as an ex-employee reports on Twitter.

Finally, the HR department contacted those affected again and assured them that the external processor was actually working on behalf of Twitter.

But not only the form of the cover letter caused outrage, but also the content.

Attorney Lisa Bloom, who represents several employees, explained on the short message platform that the offer was subject to unusually strict conditions.

On the one hand, the dismissed persons should declare in a legally binding manner that they will not take any legal action against their ex-employer.

On the other hand, they should not be able to appear as witnesses against Twitter in other legal disputes either.

In addition, according to Bloom, there are extensive bans on statements that should make it impossible for ex-employees to ever criticize Twitter or Elon Musk again.

According to CNN, employees are also dissatisfied with the extent of the severance payments offered.

Actually, Elon Musk had announced a severance payment of three months' salary after his takeover (which is significantly less than other digital companies that have also cut jobs in recent months).

But in some cases not even this promise has been fulfilled, it is said.

Hundreds of employees are therefore trying to take action against Twitter.
