More than a month and a half after the disappearance of Kevin Trompat and Leslie Hoorelbeke, the investigation opened at the end of November is now moving towards the criminal trail, the Poitiers prosecution announced on Tuesday in a press release.
The prosecution of Niort has indeed relinquished "on December 27" of the file for the benefit of the "pole of criminal investigation of Poitiers".
“The legal qualification adopted at this stage, in the state of the disappearance of Ms. Leslie Hoorelbeke and Mr. Kevin Trompat, and without news from them, is a qualification of a criminal nature (arrest, kidnapping, detention or sequestration , committed against several people and without voluntary release before the 7th day)”, specifies the parquet floor of Poitiers in its press release.
The Poitiers research section is in charge of the investigations.
10,000 euros in cash
The young couple has not given any sign of life since the night of Friday 25 to Saturday 26 November.
After spending the evening with a friend in Prahecq, a town in the Niortaise countryside, they had to sleep in the neighboring house of another friend, who had joined a rave party.
A call for witnesses was then broadcast on social networks and a judicial investigation opened for "worrying disappearance".
In early December, the discovery of the couple's belongings in a recycling container in Puyravault (Charente-Maritime), including the young man's road safety certificate (BSR), further deepened the mystery surrounding their disappearance.

The parents of Kevin Trompat had already evoked the hypothesis of a kidnapping and a sequestration in the press.
The evening of his disappearance, Kevin Trompat had nearly 10,000 euros in cash on him, according to his mother-in-law Karine Prat.
During a fight organized last Thursday in Prahecq, the latter had her car and her house robbed, she said.
Kevin Trompat was to go to Bordeaux the next day to buy a car, according to her.
