The man allegedly stole and raped a dog named Flicka, 12, of the Samoyed breed, a species with immaculate white hair characterized by her "smile".
It had been stolen on September 15, near the Chambéry ice rink.
The man sentenced on Monday was arrested in a squat in La Ravoire five days later, following a report.
During her arrest, on September 20, the dog was discovered in the cellar of her home, without a window, with an empty bowl and "a piece of dry bread".
On the way to the police station, the suspect then made a statement that marked the officials: “Dogs are demons who rape women and children before biting them, they must suffer the same fate!
".
Fears that were confirmed during the findings on the animal made by a veterinarian.
In addition to signs of abuse, the professional had noted "an inflammation of the vulva and vaginal edema allowing to suspect, without being able to attest, that there was penetration".
Already sentenced for violence against a dog
Charges that the forty-year-old denied as a whole, preferring to attribute the theft to another man with whom he shared his squat.
"I didn't perform sexual acts on that dog.

And I'm not a psychopath to mistreat dogs and hit them!, he assured during his trial.

His lawyers having recalled that the man had already been admitted to a psychiatric hospital on several occasions.
A defense that did not convince the court.
Indeed, the magistrates recalled that he had already been sentenced in 2020 for having “disfigured a Rottweiler female dog”.

In total, with 24 convictions "mostly for violence", he has already spent 20 years of his life behind bars.
The prosecutor also repeated the "criminological dangerousness" of the defendant, wishing to rely on the opinion of the psychiatrist considering that he was "more suited to prison than to the specialized hospital where he frightened patients and officers during his hospitalizations”.
According to the mandated psychiatrist expert, the defendant, born in 1979 in Chambéry, would have a “psychopathic personality”.
The regional daily specifies that the owners of the dog Flicka indicated that she had "recovered".
