The 80th Golden Globe ceremony took place tonight (Wednesday morning Israel time).
The event took place after a one-year hiatus, which resulted from a Hollywood boycott of Hollywood's foreign press booth, amid allegations of racism, sexism and conservatism.
The cell promised a total transformation in its ranks, many journalists and journalists were added to its ranks, including Israelis, and tonight it seemed that things were returning to normal.
The ceremony was successfully moderated by the black comedian Jarrod Carmichael, whose sharp opening monologue was praised, and the entire event lasted almost three and a half hours, but passed without special events.
In Israel, the film was broadcast live on Bis and will be available during the day on Viaudi with Hebrew translation.
In the television category, these were the big winners: "The White Lotus," which won the award for miniseries and actress in a miniseries (Jennifer Coolidge, of course);
"Abbott Elementary School", which won an award for comedy series and two acting awards;
and "Dragon House", which won the prize for drama series,

In the cinematic category: Steven Spielberg's "The Devilmen" won the drama film award, and the director himself won the directing award - for the third time in his career and the first since "Saving Private Ryan".
"Ghosts of Inishirin" won the award for a comedy/musical film, and also the award for an actor in such a film (Colin Farrell).
Befitting the unstable status of the ceremony, many of the winners were absent for various reasons and did not show up to receive the award, including names like Cate Blanchett, Kevin Costner and Zendaya.
Who did come and was very excited was Eddie Murphy, who received an award for lifetime achievement during the ceremony.
Also, in a way that has already become quite predictable and will surely repeat itself at the Oscars, during the evening a Zoom speech by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was broadcast.
