A car theft in the USA goes terribly wrong and ends in a spectacular crash.
Police cams record everything.
Car thief is not a recommended job.
Because you're under a lot of stress, things don't always go as smoothly as with these Kia models with security gaps.
The perpetrator who stole a car in Verona, New Jersey, USA, around midnight also had to find out.

His bad luck: The vehicle was equipped with a GPS tracker.
Such a device does not always help, but in this case it worked and transmitted the position to the police, who had already been called in by the owner.
In fact, an alerted officer in the patrol car spotted the car shortly thereafter on the outskirts of town and called for backup.
After the colleague arrived, the officers approached the vehicle on foot.

The thief then accelerated, but immediately lost control of the car and crashed through a fence.
Behind which it went directly seven meters down.
The car crashed spectacularly into the depths of another vehicle parked there.
The whole action, including the crash, was recorded by police cameras, including a body cam, and shared on Facebook.

Nobody was injured in the incident, and the driver was also able to free himself from the wreckage, but was then arrested – as was a suspicious woman who had been nearby.
In its post, the Verona Policde Department specifically warns that car thieves are "bold and reckless to avoid arrest".
