Ivri Leader opened this evening (Motash) with his catchphrase "I got to love" the huge demonstration in Tel Aviv's Bima Square against the planned coup in the judicial system, which was attended by about 80,000 people despite the heavy rain and despite the police, which is commanded by the extreme right-winger Itamar Ben Gabir , prevented protesters from reaching the square on the grounds of overcrowding.

Leader went up to perform in front of the protesters about an hour before her performance opened at the Culture Hall in Tel Aviv, next to the square where the demonstration took place. Leader said on stage before the performance at the demonstration: "I am going up on this stage as a concerned citizen.

very worried

Fearful for our country, for our rights, for equality and the liberal-modern values on which we built our beautiful country.

It is our right to love and no one will take it away from us".

The singer Miri Masika also appeared at the demonstration, who said, among other things: "I am here on behalf of my father, who comes from the north, he is 75 years old. He immigrated to Israel in 1948, and grew up in the Mebara. My father is not an Ashkenazi, he is not an elitist, he is not a leftist, he Just loves this country, and it is as important to him as anyone else. This is a war for all of us. You are this country," and then Sara concludes the national anthem "Hope".

Earlier this evening, the singer and actor Ran Danker wrote poignant words on his Instagram account this evening: "My heart goes out to the thousands of protesters tonight! Don't be sold louches, the demonstration is not of the right or the left, nor of any community, but of an entire country that has been run over by extremists who want to turn it to the dictatorship. This is a demonstration of Israel's character as a democratic, liberal, progressive and free country, which seeks to accept all its citizens in an equal and respectful way, without curtailing or rejecting any right of any citizen. I believe in our nation very much! I love it and know that the light will overcome violence and racism ! And we didn't enter the legal system that protects us all, which is simply being trampled before our eyes. This is definitely a last call. Let's unite and show them that we will not give up the desire to live here with great love together."

"And perhaps one last thing, with your permission," Danker added and wrote, "There will be many unpleasant reactions here, but Rabek, it's time to grow up and rise above them, and deal with what's important. I know, believe and see that fear takes over, me too, I'm afraid too. And I know that fear can make people do bad things. And so I think that only if we come together and look each other in the eye and hold hands and hug, we can dissolve it, the paralyzing fear. Together. Now is a time of peace between us. When you come to the demonstration, look at your parents, at your children , about your brothers, about yourselves. You will see many good and caring people, from the entire political spectrum!!! This must not be a political demonstration. A dictatorship does not separate right, left, Ashkenazi, Sephardi, gay or straight. It blackens every part that has a future Loves you and believes in us."
