Phone shop looters thwarted.
Four young robbers were arrested this Monday morning in Versailles (Yvelines) after attacking two telephone stores.
Around 10:30 a.m., rue de la Paroisse, this small scooter team attacked the SFR and Bouygues shops, armed with tear gas canisters.
“They were caught red-handed by investigators from the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) and the Versailles Banditry Repression Brigade,” said the prosecutor, Maryvonne Caillibotte.
Four teenagers in custody
The four suspects, all minors, were taken into police custody.
Both scooters were apprehended.
A car would probably have accompanied them.
The store employees were not injured.
These four young criminals would belong to a gang, originally from Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine), which recently committed around twenty similar acts in Paris and Neuilly-sur-Seine.
Other members of this “team with drawers” have already been arrested in December.
