In 2024, Mercedes will launch an electric successor to the CLA with a range of more than 600 km, which will compete with the Tesla Model 3, the BMW i4 and the Polestar 2. But in the meantime, the current generation needs to be sold.
Exactly four years after it was introduced, Mercedes The CLA is being refreshed for the 2023 model year in order to keep it relevant in the face of the existing competition from the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe and the Audi A3 sedan. The changes concern the two body configurations of the regular CLA car with the 4-door coupe design as well as a configuration The "Shooting Break" sports station wagon.
From the external point of view, the changes are not far-reaching, a new bumper and grill that maintain the appearance of the dotted grill and in the middle a dividing strip with the manufacturer's logo in the front and a different diffuser in the rear. The front and rear lighting units are also renewed with a slightly different display than before.

The range of engines starts from the 180 which provides 134 hp from the 1.33 liter engine common to Renault-Nissan and Mercedes. The engine which receives a 48V mild hybrid system will accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds (9.6 in shooting break) and a maximum speed of 216 km/h. The CLA 200, which uses a more powerful version of the same engine, has 163 hp, acceleration to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds (8.6 in shooting break) and a maximum speed of 229 km/h.
The 220 and 250 versions will use dual drive and a 2.0 liter engine.
The outputs are 190 and 224 hp respectively and the accelerations are 7.3 seconds to 100 in the 200 and 6.4 seconds in the 250. The maximum speed is 237 for the 190 hp engine and 250 km/h for the 250
. The 1.33-liter engine base will also be offered in plug-in versions in both body configurations. Both have a combined power of 218 hp and an acceleration of 7.6 seconds to 100 in the sedan and 7.7 in the shooting brake.
The maximum speed is 229 and 226 km/h.
All versions use the Mercedes double clutch gearbox, here with 7 gears.

At the end of the power supply are the two performance versions, the CLA 35 and the CLA 45, both of course from AMG.
The engine has a 4-cylinder configuration and a volume of 2.0 liters.
Here the drive is dual and the power goes through an 8-speed dual clutch transmission.
Power and performance: 306 horses in the 35 and 421 horses in the 45.
Accelerations are 4.9 seconds to 100 and 4.5 seconds depending on the version.
The maximum speed of the 35 is 250 km/h, while the more powerful will qualify up to 270 km/h.
The facelift will reach us fashionably late - the expectation is only for the third quarter of 2023. Currently, CLA prices start at NIS 300,000 for the 180, NIS 367,000 for the plug-in, and end somewhere at NIS 600,000 for the CLA 45.
