For this purpose, they are required to pass official language tests that test proficiency In French," says Lynn Levy, pedagogical manager of the classes at the French Institute in Tel Aviv.

"There are also those who learn French so that they can communicate better with their family who lives in France, there are others who want to learn French in preparation for a trip to the country, and there are professionals such as doctors or embassy workers in France who are required to learn the language for work purposes."



The French Institute in Israel is part of the cultural department of the French Embassy.

The institute offers courses for learning French in Boria - vocabulary, grammar, tenses, correct pronunciation, reading and writing.

"The goal of studying at the French Institute is to communicate in French and live the language through French culture," explains Lynn.

"The courses are intended for all levels and are suitable for both adults and children. The studies are focused on the spoken French language so that the students can quickly acquire the language."

The institute's study center is located on Rothschild Avenue in Tel Aviv, and there are other study centers in Haifa, Nazareth, Kiryat Bialik, Karmiel, Kiryat Tivon and the Ra'anana Municipal College.

If there are at least 7 students who wish to learn the language together, the institute can open a French study center all over the country.

In addition, you can join online classes through Zoom.

The lessons are group, but the institute also offers customized private lessons.

Each course lasts three months, and after successfully completing the course, you can move to a more advanced level.



The great uniqueness of the French Institute is that the entire teaching staff consists of first-class professional teachers, who are experts in teaching the French language and speak French as their mother tongue.

In addition to this, the French Institute is the only institution in Israel where you can pass all the official tests that test mastery of the French language.

The institute will even help you prepare for exams and receive the internationally recognized certificates required for naturalization in France, relocation to France or Canada, studies in France or for employment in these countries, which requires mastery of the language.

The French Institute in Israel also offers accelerated courses in July and August for adults and children.
