The singer Eyal Golan attacked the call of some netizens to boycott the musician Eliav Zohar, the son of Culture Minister Miki Zohar.

In a post he published on Instagram, the singer wrote that his heart was broken when he saw the idol that Eliav was kidnapping for not doing wrong.

"Yesterday evening I came across posts on social networks calling for the boycott of the performances and music of Eliav Zohar, the son of Miki Zohar, and my heart just ached," he wrote.

"Whoever like me knows how important, challenging and not easy an artist's path is. And to see a talented young singer and creator who is already being attacked because of such and such statements by his father, which are not related to him in any way - it just doesn't make sense to me. I don't get into politics for a moment, but I know that music and art should not be mixed with politics."

The musician Eliav Zohar, winner of "The Next Star" and the son of the Minister of Culture Miki Zohar, responded as mentioned last night to the call to boycott his performances due to his father's intention to reexamine the "Israeli Shabbat" project.

In response to a tweet by one of the surfers on Twitter who wrote "Boycott Eliav Zahar's performances on weekdays and Saturdays", Eliav replied: "The truth is that it makes me very sad.

I am not a politician and not related to this world.

I just love my dad always.

"Anyone who seeks to hurt my father through me and punish me for his political decisions and it's his, I have no interest in reacting to it or referring to it," added Eliav Zohar. "I live and breathe the world of music that speaks to everyone without distinction and without any barriers."

The tweet that called for Eliav's concerts to be boycotted was deleted a short time later.
