Apple's first augmented reality (AR) glasses, which are expected to be named Reality Pro, will be launched in the coming year and will come with a series of innovations and technological developments - according to a new report in the Bloomberg news agency.
According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gorman, unlike the hand controllers of Meta's virtual reality (VR) glasses, the Oculus Quest, Apple's glasses will have internal and external cameras that can track the movements of the user's hands and eyes.
"The cameras will be able to analyze the user's hands and will allow the wearer to control the device by looking at an item on the screen - whether it's a button, an app icon or entering a menu," the report says.
Gorman also says that the user interface will be "similar to iOS, and will include many functions available on the iPhone and iPad."
For example, it will be possible to use the glasses as an external monitor - connect the Mac to them, and control with a mouse or keyboard.
Also according to the report, the Reality Pro could switch from augmented reality (AR) to virtual reality (VR) by pressing the Digital Crown button (similar to the Apple Watch).

The glasses will have two extremely high-resolution displays developed by Sony, and the processing capabilities will be at the level of a computer processor, which will allow them to operate wirelessly without cables (like Meta's Quest glasses).
Alongside this, it will be possible to make FaceTime calls using Apple's Memoji avatar (sound familiar?).
"These avatars will allow two people - each wearing Apple's glasses - to communicate and feel as if they are in the same room," Gorman added.
Meanwhile, estimates at the moment are that the launch will take place this spring, between the months of April or March, although the schedule may still change.
