The computer giant IBM is joining the wave of layoffs in high-tech:
the American company announced that it will cut its global workforce by 1.5% in light of the need for efficiency, the company's CFO James Kavanaugh announced upon the publication of the financial results for the last quarter of 2022.
The announcement comes after other giants, who expanded their activities and recruited significantly during the corona epidemic, were forced to make moves that would return them to the level before the outbreak of the epidemic, among other things in light of difficulties in the supply chain and rising inflation.
Amazon, Google and Facebook are among the companies that announced mass layoffs, and a few days ago Microsoft also joined the trend.

The company delivered positive results in its latest quarterly report today (Wednesday), in which they managed to beat the forecasts as far as revenues were concerned, which rose by about 8% in the software sector. Also, the cash flow increased significantly.
