Judicial information was opened on Saturday for acts of domestic violence concerning Raphaël Dupond-Moretti, the son of the minister.

Raphaël Dupond-Moretti, the son of the Keeper of the Seals, in police custody since Friday in Courchevel (Savoie) for suspicion of domestic violence, was indicted this Saturday, according to information from BFMTV and Franceinfo.

Following his hearing by a judge on Saturday evening, the man was released and placed under judicial supervision.

The file, initially managed in Albertville, was transferred to the Chambéry prosecutor's office.

Asked by Le Parisien, the latter confirmed the opening of a judicial investigation this weekend, but refused to communicate further, in particular on the indictment of Raphaël Dupond-Moretti.

The facts for which the son of the Keeper of the Seals was heard date back to Thursday, at the end of the afternoon.

A neighbor would have reported them to the gendarmes.

Raphaël Dupond-Moretti then presented himself to the police.

He was first freely heard by the gendarmes on Thursday, before being summoned and then placed in police custody.

“As a father, I am devastated”

“As a father, I am devastated.

I have a thought for the victim.

Any violence, whatever it is, is intolerable “, had then reacted Friday Éric Dupond-Moretti, the Minister of Justice, after the announcement of the custody of his son.

“As Minister, I have constantly fought against violence against women and for their voice to be taken into account.

As a citizen, I ask that my family life be respected.

It is now up to justice to do its job,” he added.
