We no longer speak of disturbing disappearance but of kidnapping with sequestration.
The young Sihem Belouahmia was seen for the last time last Wednesday, around 11 a.m. in Grand-Combe, a town located north of Alès (Gard).
The young 18-year-old woman is the subject of a call for witnesses broadcast by the gendarmerie.
But "new elements, elements of context and entourage, suggest that it would more likely be a kidnapping with sequestration rather than a worrying disappearance", reveals the public prosecutor of Alès, François Schneider, who entrusted the investigation to the Nîmes Research Section.
A member of the entourage in the sights of the investigators
According to information from Midi Libre, a man close to the victim, already heard by the investigators, because implicated by the relatives of the teenager, has become the main suspect.
Significant research resources have been deployed, including a canine team at Grand-Combe, where the young woman's grandmother lives.
“Sihem disappeared during the night of Wednesday 25 to Thursday 26. She came out at midnight from her grandmother's house with whom she lives after a first return at 10:30 p.m.
A friend from her class saw her in video when she left.
We haven't heard from you since, ”confides a cousin to Midi Libre.
Sihem Belouahmia is 1.69m tall, is of normal build, has straight brown hair that reaches to the middle of the back.
She has brown eyes.
When she disappeared, the teenager was "dressed in a brown wool sweater, black pants and light sneakers".
Anyone with information that can help investigators is asked to call 17.
