From the moment Tesla's dramatic move was revealed at the beginning of the month to discount the Model 3 and Model Y models by tens of thousands of shekels, as part of the manufacturer's global move, the question arose as to how much the 11 thousand existing Tesla buyers will be harmed by the discount.
This is after until now they have enjoyed the increase in value of the cars they purchased, due to the price increases of the new Teslas.
Discounts on the price list of a new car always also affect the value of the same model as a used one.
That is why veteran car importers prefer, in the event of a price reduction due to a directive from the manufacturer or a drop in the currency rate, to give customers the difference without changing the price list, so as not to harm existing customers, through trade-in benefits, credit and accessories.
Hours after Tesla Israel published the new price list, it was already possible to see the downward trend in prices in used panels such as Yad2.
Now comes the moment when the discount becomes official and recognized by the many institutional bodies that rely on the Levy Yitzhak price list.

The basic Model 3 models, the Standard/SR Range 2021 model, which was reduced by NIS 37,000 to NIS 205,000 in the 2023 model, will be reduced by NIS 20,000 tomorrow morning, and its value will be NIS 177,000.
The same model from 2022 will lose NIS 30,000 and will be worth NIS 185,000, all this before calculating factors such as a month of driving, mileage, and more.
The basic Model Y model in Israel, the Long Range from 2022, which was discounted by 80 thousand NIS to 270 thousand NIS, will lose 40 thousand of its value in the price list tomorrow morning, and its value will be 272 thousand NIS.
It is likely that the price of this model will be further corrected in the March price list, when Tesla will begin to deliver vehicles at the new price, so that it will be cheaper than the price of a new car in the company.
On the other hand, other electric cars that became more expensive this month due to the purchase tax increase, will also become more expensive as used ones, as has happened several times so far with Tesla models.
Those who bought trams in the last two years will suddenly find that they are worth more than they were.
The rate of increase in price will be lower than the cost of new cars, and will range from 50 to 80 percent of the price increase in 2023 models
. For example, the owners of a Skoda Aniac, which became more expensive when new by NIS 25,000, will find out tomorrow morning that they "received" from Levi Yitzhak 13,000 NIS if they drove a 2022 model and -7,000 shekels if it goes on Israeli roads in 2021.
