Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley who died earlier this month, was on an extreme diet regime in the last months of her life and returned to using opioid painkillers, to which she was previously addicted - sources in her family told TMZ.
According to the report, Presley started taking weight loss drugs that made her lose between 40 and 50 kilos in just six weeks.
Presley died of cardiac arrest two days after arriving at the Golden Globes ceremony, which she attended to support the film about her father, Elvis, which became a major player in the awards season.
In an interview on the red carpet, she seemed to have trouble standing on her own, she looked weak, her eyes looked heavy, she was holding on to her father Elvis' old manager, 80-year-old Jerry Schilling, and here and there she also got confused and forgot words.
In other footage from the Golden Globes, she appears to be having trouble going down stairs.

Since her death, it has also been reported that she suffered in the last period of her life from loneliness, physical hardship and mental crises.
A source close to the family told the American media that Presley, who lived most of her life in the spotlight, "lived a lonely life" and had a hard time since her 27-year-old son Benjamin Keo ended his life in 2020.
