On Thursday, Apple announced that its revenue in the last calendar quarter of 2022 was $117.2 billion - a 5.8% decrease compared to the corresponding quarter of 2021. The biggest disappointment is sales of the iPhone, the flagship product that accounts for about half of its revenue, which fell by 8.2%.
At the same time, Mac sales recorded a larger decline of 28.7%.
The wearables division, which includes the Apple Watch, delivered $13.48 billion in revenue.
But, there is also good news: Apple informed investors that it has reached 2 billion active devices worldwide.
"During the quarter ended in December, we achieved an important milestone and are excited to report that we now have more than 2 billion active devices as part of our growing install base," said Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Apple reached 1.5 billion active devices at the beginning of 2020, at the height of the corona virus around the world, and crossed the 1 billion mark in 2016. For comparison, in 2021 Google announced that there are 3 billion active Android devices.
