The sporty Audi RS 4 Avant and Audi RS 5 are approaching the track with the new competition and competition plus packages, now available in the price lists of the house with the four rings.
Both kits share the increase in top speed from 280 km/h or, as an option, to 290 km/h.
The changes include the software upgrade for the eight-speed tiptronic transmission electronics, to ensure shorter shift times.
Software interventions also for the engine control unit, aimed at guaranteeing more prompt delivery of the V6 2.9 TFSI biturbo with 450 HP and 600 Nm of torque.

Audi RS4 Avant and Audi RS5 Competition
The Audi RS 4 Avant competition pack thus sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds: a time 2 tenths better than the standard version.
0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds for the Audi RS 5 competition pack, also faster (by a tenth) than standard.
The RS sports exhaust system with matt black tailpipes is also shared by the two packages, which also provide for the renunciation of a part of the sound-absorbing materials for a weight reduction of 8 kilograms.
The Audi RS 4 Avant competition pack stands at 1,745 kg, while the Audi RS 5 Coupé and Audi RS 5 Sportback competition pack stop the balance at 1,685 and 1,720 kg respectively.
The most extreme competition plus configuration includes new manually adjustable shock absorbers.
The ground clearance of the cars is reduced by 10 mm compared to the standard RS versions but it is possible to further lower the set-up by 10 mm by acting on the ring nuts.
As for the quattro permanent all-wheel drive, the self-locking central differential benefits from a setting aimed at favoring the distribution of thrust to the rear.
New calibration, also included in the competition plus pack, for the sports rear differential which actively distributes the torque between the wheels of the same axle, to the advantage of limiting understeer and agility of the car.
The increase in performance is balanced by the presence, as standard for the competition plus variants, of the front carbon ceramic brakes with red calipers: thanks to the specific ABS software and the availability, upon request, of the ultra high performance Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres, they reduce the stopping distance by up to 2 meters when traveling at 100 km/h.
Finally, for the two kits exclusive aesthetic finishes and dedicated 20-inch wheels.
The competition package is offered at 9,900 euros.
The most extreme competition plus variant is available at 22,500 euros for the Audi RS 5 Coupé, 24,250 euros for the Audi RS 4 Avant and Audi RS 5 Sportback.
