The employees of a luxury car dealership in Florida should be shocked for a long time: A Ferrari Roma fell out of a vehicle elevator there.
There are vehicles that remain a dream for most motorists for the rest of their lives.
For most of them, this also includes the outrageously expensive bullets from Ferrari.
For some, a Ferrari replica (doesn't necessarily have to be based on an Audi R8) is a solution, for others perhaps driving a rental vehicle - but you shouldn't overdo it, like renting a Ferrari Driver from Euskirchen.
Time and again it happens that a valuable vehicle from Maranello is wrecked in accidents on the road - it is of course particularly bitter when a driver crashes his Ferrari just three kilometers after leaving the dealer's yard.
On the other hand, it is rare for a car to be scrapped at the dealership - as is now the case in Palm Beach County in the US state of Florida.
Breakdown in a luxury car dealership: 200,000 euro Ferrari falls out of the vehicle elevator
For car fans, it's the pictures that really hurt.
The Palm Beach County Fire Department posted photos to Facebook of a visit to a luxury car dealership (below).
A silver-colored Ferrari Roma can be seen in a quasi “standing” position.
The car had fallen into the shaft of a vehicle elevator.
It is not yet known exactly how the incident happened – according to the fire brigade, the cause was a “malfunction”.
The most important news: No one was injured in the accident.
Ferrari Roma falls out of the vehicle elevator: complex salvage operation
Judging by the photos, it is probably a total loss.
The Italian sports car is badly damaged, especially at the rear.
But the roof also took a beating and the front shouldn't have been unscathed either.
The tank and fuel lines were obviously also damaged: When the fire brigade arrived, they first had to contain a fuel leak.
To reduce the risk of fire, they cut off power to the building.
To finally get the Ferrari out of the bay, a tow truck with a 45-foot boom was used, along with several 50,000-pound winches.
The salvage operation of the Roma was finally over after about four hours.

The new price for a Ferrari Roma starts at at least 200,000 euros.
Accordingly, it is advisable to be careful when moving the vehicle from Maranello.
Especially in narrow old towns you should exercise caution - not that you get stuck in a narrow alley, like a Roma driver in Italy some time ago.
Apparently there are moments when life with a "normal car" is more carefree.
