Penalties from 200 to 2 thousand euros, depending on turnover, for those who violate the obligations to communicate and display fuel prices.

This is foreseen by the government's amendment to the decree on price transparency being examined by the Productive Activities commission of the Chamber.

The fines are therefore reduced compared to the 500-6,000 euros envisaged in the original formulation of the decree, but are in any case higher than the 200-800 euros indicated in the agreement reached at the Mimit.

Furthermore, the government amendment raises to 4 (from 3) the number of violations, even if not consecutive in 60 days, which trigger the suspension of the activity.

The obligation remains for petrol stations on roads and motorways to display "with adequate evidence"

The government's amendment to the transparency decree provides for it.

The arrival of an "IT application" is also foreseen, in which it will be possible to consult average and current prices.

The amendment then establishes that the price communications by the managers to Mimit, the methods of which will be defined together with those on the billboards by ministerial decree, must be made "as the price charged varies and in any case on a weekly basis".
