ORA Funky Cat (manufacturer)
After months of trickling rumors, this morning it was officially announced the start of marketing of ORA in Israel.
The Chinese brand is another export arm of the Great Wall concern, whose other representation in Israel is with its luxury division WEY.
The importer that received the import franchise for the brand is Calmobile, thus the group completes the representation of car manufacturers from Europe (Mercedes), Japan (Mitsubishi) and Korea (Hyundai and Genesis).
The Funky Cat, as the manufacturer's first model is called, is an electric compact car, in this respect, it is the only one in a category previously only Nissan Leaf was present.
A different approach to a market where the more popular electric cars first went in the direction of small crossovers such as the Geely Geometric C and BYD Eto 3.

The unusual, rounded exterior design is deceiving, but the car's true dimensions are deeply rooted in the compact family segment.
The overall length is 4.2 meters, the height is 1.6 meters, like a Jeep, the width is 1.8 meters and the wheelbase is 2.65 meters (for the sake of comparison, it is cm larger than that of a Volkswagen Golf). On the other hand, the volume of the trunk is smaller than that of super cars Mini - only 228 liters.
The model will come in three trim levels PRO, PRO+ and GT. Already at the entry level it is equipped with a 10.25" digital dashboard and a multimedia system of the same size (currently still without Android or Apple compatibility), split climate control, voice activation, USB ports for rear seats, wireless mobile charging, power front seats, leather-trimmed seats PRO+ and GT trim levels add automatic parking, seat memories, panoramic sunroof, heated, cooled and massaged seats and a power tailgate.

Just before the prices, ORA offers buyers a very extensive service package, not one that is known in the field of popular cars (relatively).
And this includes 24/7 service, charging services on the way, collection and return of the vehicle for treatments, a replacement vehicle in case the treatment time is extended beyond 4 hours.
The maintenance routine itself: 2 years or 30,000 km and the warranty for the vehicle itself is 5 years with no km limit and 8 years or 160,000 km for the battery.
The prices of the Funky Cat start at NIS 145,000 for the 300 PRO, When the PRO+ trim level of this version will cost NIS 154,000. The 400, which will only come with the PRO+ trim level, jumps to NIS 172,000.
The GT versions that add an accessory package and a sporty appearance cost NIS 175,000 to NIS 300 and NIS 185,000
. - The first 900 customers will be sold the cars that were released from customs before the tax increase and their price will be NIS 138,000 for the 300 PRO and NIS 147,000 for the PRO+. The 400 will cost NIS 165,000 and the 400GT NIS 175,000.
The Funky Cat is indeed the only representative of electric cars in its group, but in terms of price ranges it will compete with crossovers such as the Geely Geometric C or the BYD Eto 3, both of which have their own large range and the height and performance factor.
