The streaming giant Spotify finally launched the Exclude from your Taste Profile ("Do not include in my taste profile"), a new feature
that will prevent selected playlists
from influencing the personalized music recommendations in the application.
"We understand why you might not want children's music appearing in your Blend playlists, or white noise taking over your Discover Weekly. That's why we're introducing a new feature that will make personalization better than ever: the ability to exclude selected playlists from your taste profile" , was written on the official blog of the streaming giant.
The new feature is only available in playlists - and not specifically in individual albums or songs.
According to the streaming giant, for people who have specific playlists for specific activities — like sleep (white noise), exercise, or music for kids — their recommendations can sometimes include songs and artists that don't fit their general listening habits.

The Taste Profile is Spotify's interpretation of our musical taste based on what we listen to and how we listen to it.
"This helps us personalize your Spotify experience by providing recommendations and experiences," Spotify explains.
However, the company explains that songs marked with a heart (like) will affect the recommendations.
The feature is available starting today on iOS and Android, and also in the browser (Web) version.
How It Works?
Choose the relevant playlist, click on the three dots button near the top of the playlist, then on Exclude from your Taste Profile.
