Did you read Tali Gottlieb's horrifying tweet? Did you see her screaming in the Knesset? Did you hear Netanyahu condemn her words? Congratulations, you are part of the show whose job is to distract you

In 2017 Haaretz newspaper published an article by Rogel Alfer under the title "There is no God and believing in him is stupid".

Alper's claim was actually interesting, and went against the beautified secular tolerance, according to him, against the orthodox religion - which is anti-tolerant in its essence.

But his reasoned argument was of no interest to anyone, and everyone was preoccupied with the title.

That's how it is, a short-tempered country with citizens who don't have enough patience to read about intolerance.

Exactly six years have passed since that column, and today it seems that the old debate about the existence of a creator of the world has been replaced by much less spiritual and much more earthly questions.

I'll start with a question that I assume intrigues many readers: does Tali Gottlieb really exist?

Let's start from the end.

There is no such thing as Tali Gottlieb and believing in her is stupid.

Yes, we've all seen the wonderful character played by Liat Har Lev in "Wonderful Country", with the obsessive play with her hair, the uncontrollable physical movements and the murderous look in her eyes.

Obviously there is no such woman really.

It's an imitation that screams defamation.

This is extremely improbable.

No man can be so stupid, bad and rude.

If there really was such a woman, she certainly would not have become a lawyer, would not have defended sex offenders with her teeth, would not have run for the position of judge (and failed), would not have run in the primaries of the largest party in Israel, would not have been elected to the Knesset.

Such a woman does not exist, certainly not as a Knesset member, it simply cannot be.

Concerned citizens will surely react with astonishment.

"Hey," someone testified, "I turned on the Knesset channel (because that's what sane people do in their free time - AS) and I watched Tali Gottlieb scream her soul out at the president of the Supreme Court, hours after she accused her of the deadly attack in Jerusalem at the weekend."

Well so-and-so, you're not wrong.

Indeed, I too saw the tweet in question, and I too watched the disturbing segments from the Law, Constitution and Justice Committee.

Watching Congresswoman Gottlieb scream like a pig being led to the slaughter only convinced me more of the indisputable truth: the entity known as "Tali Gottlieb" simply does not exist.

No respectable country would agree that its parliament representatives would behave and speak like this.

Is this the real one or the imitation?

I accept that people believe Tali Gottlieb exists, and I don't judge them either.

I have heard of people who believe even more absurd things.

People who believe that the schnitzel they fried looks like the whole of Israel, people who believe that "Friends" is funnier than "Seinfeld" and even people who believe that an Israeli soccer game is a legitimate pastime for the whole family.

But yesterday something fell.

The belief in the existence of Tali Gottlieb made many people talk about her, tweet about her and search for her on social networks and on Google.

Here I already suspected.

An entire country is concerned with a repulsive tweet of a non-existent woman - all this when there are some more important things that the country is not concerned with.

For example, the undermining of personal security, after days of terrible attacks in Jerusalem.

For example, the concrete discussion on the legal coup issue.

There is no such thing as Tali Gottlieb, not because there is no such woman with such a name on her identity card, but because in the current state of our legislative authority - the public representatives from the coalition do not really exist, just like the democracy they promised us.

Whether their name is Aryeh Deri, Simcha Rothman, Almog Cohen or Yariv Levin - they are all Bibi.

True, our prime minister has a conflict of interest agreement, so you won't hear him say in his voice ugly statements like the entity known as Tali Gottlieb - but that's all the genius.

The filth is carried out by a messenger, and Netanyahu's suit does not even get dirty from the spatters of the verbal vomit that his messengers pour.

Tali Gottlieb does not exist because there is no need for her or her opinions.

She plays a role in a pre-scripted play.

If she does not perform her role to the best of her ability, we will find someone else to fill it.

The media, to be sure, plays an active role in this traveling circus.

Every time you hear Tali Gottlieb speak, you are listening to Netanyahu's words (Benyamin, Sarah or Yair) coming out of her mouth.

The weak condemnations that always arrive late on the part of the prime minister, only turn the play from a comedy into a tragedy.

This is true for each of the elected officials who decided to sell the vote they received from the public for a criminal defendant.

An entire country in collapse, with a housing shortage, crazy cost of living, precarious personal security - and all that interests our elected officials is the composition of the committee for appointing judges?

Does anyone believe that this obsession is not related to the legal status of the prime minister?

Buji actually exists, the position has long since disappeared

President Yitzhak Boji Herzog entered this dangerous troll yesterday.

The person actually exists, but the role has long been irrelevant.

Allegedly, Herzog said things that made sense, sought to avoid a rift in the nation and expressed genuine fear of degenerating into actual violence.

"Both sides need to understand that if only one side wins, and no matter which side - we will all lose, the State of Israel will lose," said Herzog, presenting a non-existent symmetry between the people who seek to destroy Israeli democracy, and those who seek to save it from thugs.

It is important to note, reforming the judicial system is not only something that should be discussed - it is a realistic necessity.

Judges are human beings with opinions.

Some would argue that they even have feelings.

Just like all of us.

Judges are certainly more educated than the average person, more experienced and usually know how to justify their opinions better than a taxi driver who explains to you why he hates Bibi but continues to vote for him - but in the end, when they come to decide on issues that are the world's most important, they are people with opinions.

Sometimes, and it's no secret, the ideology of the man who sits on the throne of justice can determine destinies - whether for an individual, or for the entire country.

It's a pretty amazing method, when you think about it.

Whoever believes that this method has no flaws is lying to himself.

A reform in the judicial system, like any reform that aims to improve something for the better, is a positive matter.

If a referendum were held on the question "Does the judicial system need to be improved" probably 98% of the voters would answer in the affirmative.

There is a lack of judges in the judicial system (the standard in Israel is about a third of the average in the OECD countries), the system is slow, cumbersome and inaccessible to the average person who lacks means.

The lack of diversity in the composition of the Supreme Court is not in harmony with Israeli society.

It's not a secret, and it's not right either.

Too weak, too late.

Absolutely not the leader that Israel needs.

Herzog (Photo: Government Press Office, Haim Tsekh)

So wait, if most of us understand that there is a need for reform, why do so many people still go out to demonstrate every night and go on a huge strike today? Because most Israelis are not stupid. Right-wing voters also understand at this stage that behind Netanyahu's "reform" and His strength does not hide any desire for improvement.

The five principles that Herzog presented in his speech are probably agreed upon by the majority of Israeli citizens, on the right and on the left. The only opponents will probably be the Arab citizens, and rightly so, since they will be harmed by any formula of the superseding clause and the enactment of basic laws by a special majority. But there is a reason that the coalition She has already announced that she is not counting Herzog (some of them tweeted his condemnation even before he finished his speech, Netanyahu will probably shrug them off with fashion delay) - because they have no desire for a reform with a broad consensus, one that would really benefit the citizens of Israel. They are not interested in a new order in the judicial system, but in a demonstration Power and Chaos Those who think they will only stop at this revolution probably still haven't realized who they are dealing with.

Herzog's call for speeches is touching, especially when you see how his hands are shaking during the speech.

It is possible that he believes that there is still a chance to make amends.

He may just be scared.

It is possible that he realizes belatedly that he is fully complicit in one of the most destructive periods in the country's history.

But we don't need a weak leader now who asks us to sit down to negotiate with the bully who wants to tear us apart with blows, and hope that he will compromise on the way he intends to hurt us.

It was a weak and frightened speech, and probably also unnecessary.

The main thing is that she changed the color of the office.

Minister of Transportation Miri Regev (Photo: Government Press Office, Miri Shimonovitz, PM)

Miri Regev breaks records of wickedness

If we needed a living example of why we need a functioning and strong judicial system, and what the future holds for us under Netanyahu's leadership in its new and unrestrained version - we received Amalia Doak's report on News 12, according to which Miri Regev ordered not to increase public transportation to Jerusalem during the protest.

No trains, no buses.

There are more trains for concerts and football games, but for a demonstration?

Nada, that the Privileges will drive in their company car from Hitex.

Beyond the obvious and intentional damage to the demonstrators, to the freedom of movement and the freedom of protest - Regev's conviction here is mainly towards the residents of Jerusalem, who will be forced to get stuck in huge traffic jams after the Minister of Transportation forces the thousands of demonstrators to come by private vehicle to the already crowded city.

This is the decision-making level of this government.

Even if it wasn't Netanyahu who himself came up with this "genius" plan, it is his spirit that prevails over every stupid decision of every Likud minister.

Minister Miri Regev does not think about how to serve the citizens of Israel, not even those who voted for her - but only thinks about the welfare of one man, who is accused of taking bribes, fraud and breach of trust for this country.
