For the first time since the passing of the great musician Yitzhak Kleftar, a song he composed for singer Gali Atari, "When the heart is free", to the words of Meir Goldberg, is released.

At the end of the song, Clifter's voice is heard together with Atari, from the recording of the original sketch, when they sat down and sang the song for the first time without lyrics.

Clifter and Atari met for the first time in the 1980s, and their collaboration produced, among other things, the hits "The End of the Season", "Just Yesterday" and "What You Love" which was also written by Meir Goldberg.

The song that is out now, Valentine Dee, corresponds with Valentine's Day with words that include the lines: "No one will tell you / how to live and with whom / no one, it's not just you / and the other side / everyone says to themselves / that's how personal it is / Love is sweeter/ when the heart is free".

"Even after Yitzhak Klefter's passing, I felt that his last word had not yet been spoken, as far as I was concerned," Atari said.

"In this song, I was privileged to connect with Yitzhak Clifter in other ways as well. On his original guitar, the guitar solo is played in the image and inspiration of Yitzhak, which corresponds with his rare and unforgettable solos, since he was also a great guitarist. I was also privileged to 'host' him in the song - towards the end of the song, there An authentic piece of singing by Yitzchak and mine together while I heard it for the first time at his house. Thinking of you, singing you, thank you Yitzchak."

The song's producer, Amos Ben David, added: "The guitar solo in the song draws inspiration from Yitzhak Klefter's iconic solos over the years. It is played by Nitzan Bar, a rising star in the sky of jazz and light music in Israel, on Yitzhak Klefter's original guitar with which he performed for many years And he recorded many songs with her. It's not just that Gali Atari is considered one of the greatest singers of all time with the best repertoire and lyrics that Nes Licham has ever written to this very day. This song is another song with aromas of classics, of good music, true music from the soul."

"Clifter forgot that he was the one who composed 'What You Love' for me. This shows his modesty": a special column written by Gali Atari for Walla!
