Good luck coming?

Exactly today 40 years ago, for the first time ever, an edition of "Mvat Le Havot" was broadcast in color.

At this stage, masses of Israelis already had color televisions, but the Broadcasting Authority - as I recall, operated the only official channel in Israel in those days - used a "deletion", which actually bypassed the settings of the color televisions so that the broadcast still reached them in black and white.

This patent led many viewers to use anti-erasure, the purpose of which was to restore the lost colors.

In short, it was happy and crazy here.

During the 1980s, the deletion of colors was gradually canceled on behalf of the Broadcasting Authority, and on February 16, 1983, the "Matt" edition in full color was broadcast for the first time.

"That's right, from the evening - we are in color", Daniel Parr opened his words, turned to his colleague Dalia Mazor for confirmation, received the confirming nod and continued to the headlines of the day, as you can see in full below.

Mbat edition, or "News View", was the main news edition of Channel One, broadcast continuously from the foundation of Israeli television in 1968 until the closure of the Broadcasting Authority in 2017.

The presenters were mainly Haim Yavin, Daniel Parr, Dalia Mazor, Yaakov Achimair, Shimon Tesler and Ram Evron.

The oldest of them is Haim Yavin, who presented and produced the first broadcast and continued to present the news for 40 years, which earned him the nickname "Mr. TV".
